A precious, fragile gift
To you, from me.
Unseen to the eye,
Yet ever present in the heart.
Handle with care.
If you break it,
Don’t come back for more.

Just great Dorothy!
Thanks, Mark. π
Excellent. Excellent!
Thank you π
Unseen with the eye but ever present in the heart-well said here. Trust is really a spiritual agreement.
Beautifully put. π
The truth of this gives answer to all the whys that follow a break. How did you manage to distill all that pain into one lucid answer?
For the past few years I’ve been in therapy to release the emotional and mental anguish associated with a lifetime of betrayal. I have learned the hard way not “to cast my pearls before swine,” as the Good Book says. Recent betrayal by a long time friend has served as a grim reminder of how painful broken trust can be. I suppose the friendship was bound to end anyway,, as we’ve both changed so much in recent years. I just didn’t expect betrayal to be a part of it. So, naturally, I can no longer trust her and even if she came begging I wouldn’t be able to give it to her again. … On the upside the door is now open to forming new and healthier friendships. Yes, the risk is still there, but if we don’t take risks we don’t grow. π … Thanks, Charly. (btw I got your invite on Google+ and don’t know the first thing about it. How about Facebook? Or email me and we’ll figure something out.)
Beautiful!
Thank you … π
I feel the same way. “If you break it, don’t come back for more.” It is a gift we give and too precious to be taken for granted. Handle with care…for sure. Nice work.
Thanks, Kellie. π
